Troy McMullen is a New York City based actor, singer, and writer. As a gender non-conforming artist, Troy is passionate about breaking traditional molds in theatre and creating space for performers who exist beyond the binary.

Originally from Alabama, Troy developed their foundation in performance through musical theatre, having graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2025 with a BFA in Musical Theatre before relocating to New York City to continue pursuing a professional career. Most recent credits include Lizzie Borden in Lizzie and the Witch in Into the Woods. For their performance as Lulu in Cabaret at the University of Montevallo, they received the 2025 BroadwayWorld Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical.

In addition to performing, Troy is also a writer and creator. Their original work, The Legacy of the Iron Witch, received the 2025 BroadwayWorld Award for Best Original Play/Musical and was selected as the winning production for their University's Homecoming tradition.

Troy continues to pursue opportunities in theatre and new work development, with a focus on projects that strive to be more progressive in casting and story telling.
